The Best of The Photography Show 2024

NEW YORK — The Photography Show, the oldest art fair devoted to photography, opened at the Park Avenue Armory this week, bringing an extraordinarily diverse collection of photography from historic black-and-white prints to contemporary works from today’s artists.

Here are a few outstanding examples from the more the hundreds of photographs on display and for sale from a vast collection of nearly 80 galleries around the world:

The 43rd edition of the show, sponsored by the Association of International Photography Art Dealers, runs April 25 to April 28 returned to the Armory after several years at other Manhattan locations.

“The Park Avenue Armory has always been the favorite venue of our members, collectors and curators,” said Lydia Melamed Johnson, Executive Director, AIPAD. She added that the show “has evolved post-Covid with a renewed sense of optimism and vitality and a burgeoning membership of young galleries offering new perspectives on the medium.”
