Getting a jump on the week-long celebration of contemporary art that will accompany the opening of Frieze New York next week, Independent Art Fair opened May 12 in Tribeca.

Here we are in mid-March, spring a dim light in the future, but only a couple weeks until the first openings of the spring art season.
