In Paris, a Street Art Happening

@demoisellemm

Some three dozen Parisian artists, spray paint and stencils at the ready, will converge this weekend on a pair of Mouffetard establishments, hoping to spread the street art gospel by bringing it indoors.

It may not be the Bushwick Collective’s annual block party, but for these artists and Parisian street art lovers the weekend event is kind of a big deal. Their last event drew some 10,000 people.

The event is the brain-child of @demoisellemm, with the help of @no.street.art @bluebicycleinparis @l_empreinte_jo_v and @theendofanimals, plans to remake the two bars in grand street art style. The parallel remakes will take place at Time Out, 22rue du Pot de Fer, and Bah Loulou, a few hundred meters away at 40 rue Descartes. A similar event transformed the the inside of Globe Cafe, 104 av. d’Italie, in January.
