Help a Pro Photographer Shoot St Marks Place

James Roderick at work last fall

If you think the last great photograph to be taken on St Marks Place was on the back cover of the first New York Dolls record, think again. Pro photographer James Roderick is out to shoot St Marks like it’s not been shot before and he needs helpers

It’s been called America’s coolest street, it’s been declared dead countless times over the last century, but St Marks Place lives on and now Roderick is working a project to capture the heart and soul of EV’s historic Main Street.

And you can help. And be paid.

Some sample images from last fall's start of the project.

Roderick is looking for helpers with his street style exploration project on St Marks, starting Friday April 21, 2023 and lasting for a month of Fridays and Saturdays (8 days), 2-8pm (weather permitting).

For each day, he will pay his helpers $70.

Photographic skills? Don’t need ‘em. All that is required is the ability to write well enough to help subjects fill out model releases. You also help set and hang photo backgrounds plus help recruit appropriate subjects from the street.
