First Look: Artexpo New York

Artists, gallery owners, collectors and media mingled for a few hours amid a strikingly diverse collection of art from NYC and around the world as Artexpo New York opened for a press preview in advance of the public opening set for April 8.

Hundreds of galleries were represented, displaying oils and acrylics, pastels and spray paint, collage and photography, sculpture and media mash-ups. It was a colorful collection of art and artists, a fitting kick off to the spring art season in New York City.

Billed as the largest international gathering of qualified trade buyers, Artexpo New York opens to the public on Friday, April 8, at 11 AM at Pier 36, 299 South St., Lower East Side.
